*Diego Brandao, fighting out of Rodrigo Pinheiro BJJ, fought in Oklahoma on June 27th. He brought home a win, defeating opponent, Brian Foster from Oklahoma, by first round TKO.

*Our first in-house tournament, held on July 12th, was a big success. Congrats to absolute gi winner, Joseph Reyes, and absolute gi winner, Tony Erard. Stay posted for upcoming in-house tournaments.

*Students, Jason Anders and Donny Blue, received their purple belts under Rodrigo Pinheiro.

*Rodrigo Pinheiro BJJ Competition Team competed at the NAGA Europa World Grappling Championship held in Dallas on August 16th. Overall, the team did very well, bringing home an array of medals, including 1st place Men's No-Gi Novice Middle Weight(Tony Erard), 2nd place Men's No-Gi Novice Light Heavyweight (John Langston), and 2nd place Men's Gi Purple belt Middle Weight (Diego Brandao). Rodrigo also took 1st in both Men's No-Gi and Gi Expert Cruiser Weight.

*GET READY for BJJ Tournament in Austin on October 11th. The team will be making a trip to the ATX to win some medals! :)
